Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
- Administer medications as directed by physicians, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Measure and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Prepare patients for examinations by obtaining medical histories and documenting relevant information.
- Maintain accurate patient records and manage medical administrative support tasks, including scheduling appointments and handling correspondence.
- Demonstrate knowledge of medical terminology to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
- Collaborate with team members in urgent care settings or specialized units such as PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) as needed.
- Uphold strict hygiene standards and follow protocols for infection control within the clinic or hospital environment.
Experience
Candidates should possess experience or knowledge in the following areas:
- Familiarity with urgent care settings or hospital medicine practices.
- Proficiency in medication administration techniques.
- Understanding of physiology and medical terminology to facilitate effective communication within the healthcare team.
- Previous experience in a clinical environment is preferred but not mandatory.
