Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced medical environment. This position requires a strong understanding of medical-surgical systems, medication administration, and the ability to work effectively within a hospital setting, including Level I Trauma Centers and urgent care facilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor patient responses.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with medical standards.
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical histories.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
- Educate patients about their treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
- Respond to emergencies in accordance with basic life support protocols.
