What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rotomold Operator position at Aggie Maintenance?
Machine setup:
Prepare the rotomolding-rotolining machine by loading the correct mold, setting temperature parameters, and ensuring proper resin loading according to production specifications.
Operation:
Monitor the machine during the molding process, adjusting rotation speeds, heating cycles, and cooling times to maintain consistent quality.
Quality control:
Inspect finished parts for defects like uneven wall thickness, surface imperfections, or flash, and take corrective actions as needed.
Material handling:
Weigh and load plastic resin into the mold, ensuring the correct amount is used for each part.
Mold cleaning and maintenance:
Clean molds after each production run, removing excess resin and debris to prevent contamination.
Troubleshooting:
Identify and address minor machine malfunctions, reporting any major issues to maintenance personnel.
Documentation:
Maintain production records, including batch numbers, material used, and quality inspection results.
Required skills and qualifications:
Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing processes
Attention to detail to ensure consistent quality and detect defects
Ability to follow work instructions and safety procedures
Physical ability to lift and handle heavy molds and parts
