What are the responsibilities and job description for the Educator (Seasonal - Spring Break) position at Aggieland Safari?
Aggieland Safari in Bryan, TX is looking for one Educator (part-time) to join team for Spring Break 2025. We are located on 18075 FM 974. Our ideal candidate is outgoing, passionate, and an effective communicator. This position is to assist our Education Department deliver meaningful and memorable guest experiences. You will be working hands on, in front of the public, in our park that has has an accumulative animal collection of over 700 animals on over 250 acres. As an Educator you will be delivering keeper chats and bus tours. Please note that this is Seasonal.

Qualifications
Experience required:
High School Diploma or GED, Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
Current CPR/FA Certification or ability to obtain.
Experience preferred:
Proven experience in animal care of program animals (non-venomous reptiles, hoof stock)
Knowledge of animal training and behavior.
Experience with community outreach and presenting in front of large crowds. Comfortable giving tours while operating a 77-passenger school bus.

Eligible applicants must have open availability and understand that they are expected to work most weekends and holidays. Aggieland Safari is open every day from 9AM-5PM, except Thanksgiving and Christmas day. Eligible applicants should also be able to work in all weather conditions, as our facility consists of mostly outdoor exhibits and be able to lift to 50 pounds regularly.

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $11.00/hour.
