The Opportunity

Perform emergency and routine preventative machinery maintenance, building maintenance and office maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform emergency and routine preventative machinery maintenance, building maintenance, and office maintenance.
• Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine need for adjustments or repairs.
• Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems.
• Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments, according to work order specifications.
• Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair, using hand tools, jacks, cranes, or hoists.
• Maintain production times, repairs, and machine preventative maintenance information and costs in PMXpert.
• Set up and operate machines and adjust controls to regulate operations.
• Build rapport with outside vendors using phone and email communications.
• Collaborate with other workers to repair or move machines, machine parts, or equipment.
• Inventory and requisition machine parts, equipment, and other supplies so that stock can be maintained and replenished.
• Transport machine parts, tools, equipment, and other material between work areas and storage, using fork trucks, cranes, or dollies.
• Maintain utilities to prevent downtime.
• Maintain forklift license.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

• Four-year high school education
• Two to four years of related experience.
• Valid state Drivers’s License required.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills.
• This position requires the ability to follow company policy and procedures and to interact frequently with current vendors and employees.
