We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern - Summer term to work with our team in Sioux Falls, SD. As a Manufacturing Engineer Intern, you will collaborate closely with our scheduling and production teams to study and document labor standards, establish best practices and build manufacturing bills of material (MBOMs). You will learn detailed accounts of our manufacturing processes, and it promises to be interesting and valuable to an engineer looking for a career in manufacturing.

Responsibilities
- Study and understand our manufacturing processes.
- Document detailed process flows for the components we manufacture.
- Gather time studies as needed to fill in missing gaps in our labor standards.
- Observe operators, document opportunities for improvement and efficiency gains.
- Use data to help determine standard labor estimates and cost estimates for the work we perform.
- Collaborate with existing Manufacturing Engineers on routings and other projects.
- Other duties as required.
- Pursuing an Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Agricultural Engineering from accredited university.
- 3D CAD modeling and Solid Works experience.
- Effective and efficient communicator, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving ability.
- Ability to communicate technical ideas or issues to other technical and non-technical people.
- Acts with integrity, accountability, and ethical practices. Ability to exercise good judgment, initiative, and a strong work ethic.
- Mechanical aptitude and a desire to work in a fabricated equipment environment.
