AGI Internal Audit supports the company’s internal control over financial reporting (“ICFR”) regulatory requirements; performs operational, financial and compliance internal audit reviews and monitoring and advisory activities; and supports governance and risk management programs and activities such as the company’s Enterprise Risk Management program.
The Team
As the Senior Manager, Internal Audit, you will be reporting directly to the Vice President Internal Audit, playing a key role in AGI Internal Audit’s service delivery. You will join a small in-house Internal Audit function utilizing third-party service providers engaged in the regions that AGI operates. You will also be working with management and staff that have a role performing ICFR testing activities.

Responsibilities
- Preparation of periodic status reporting for leadership and Board Audit Committee.
- Continuously raising the capability of the Internal Audit function.
- Manage third party resources engaged for the ICFR program and internal audit activity.
- Maintain strong relationships and work collaboratively with AGI’s management and staff.
- Ad-hoc special requests and advisory, including for example, alleged or suspected fraud investigations and AGI’s ERM Program.
ICFR program
- Annual risk assessment and scoping requirements to ensure that sufficient and appropriate processes, IT systems and related key controls are included, and that the program remains efficient.
- Annual work plan based on agreed upon scope, including determining resourcing needs.
- Drive sufficient, appropriate, consistent, and efficient control documentation standards and testing methodologies.
- Promote awareness and accountability of internal controls across the organization.
- Drive applicable remediation of internal controls.
- Work collaboratively with the External Auditor, capturing opportunities for synergies.
- Assist in development of the annual risk based internal audit plan.
- Lead and participate in internal audit projects, with timely reporting of audit findings and development of actionable recommendations in clear and concise reports.
- Monitor management action implementation status
- Respond to ad-hoc advisory requests.
- University degree complemented by one or more of the following designations: Chartered Professional Account (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
- Excellent understanding of and significant experience with satisfying ICFR requirements i.e. SOX 404. A demonstrated ability to translate ICFR requirements into practical execution.
- Understanding of and experience with applying the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) standards and practices.
- Demonstrated skills in client relationships, advisory and change management.
- Demonstrated progressive management and leadership skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a hands-on environment.
- Ability to think strategically.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to keep information very confidential.
