Material Handler

Job Description:

• Job Description – Material Handler Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  · May be required to load/unload US mail from/into airline containers

  · May be required to load/unload trucks

  · May be required to push/pull USPS rolling stock equipment with and without (empty) US Mail

  · May be required to push full/empty airline containers on ball decking

  · May be required to load/unload full or empty airline equipment from Company transport dollies

  · May be required to scan mail into/out of airline containers.

  · May be required to weigh airline containers utilizing Company ball decking and scales

  · May be required to validate the serviceability of airline containers based of airline requirements

  · May be required to operate GSE equipment including but not limited to trucks and tugs

  · May be assigned administrative duties by the supervisor which includes equipment checks/reports

  Minimum Requirements

  · Must be at least 18 years of age.

  · Possess a High school diploma, GED or work experience equivalent is a plus

  · Must pass a drug test/ background check and be able to obtain airport security clearance.

  · Must be able to pass certain requirements mandated by the United States Post Office including but not limited to

  o Have a verifiable 5-year work history (Unemployed ok, if it is accounted for)

  o Have a verifiable 5-year United States (or any of its territories) residence

  o No pending or current felonies less than 10 years old. Some charges may disqualify you altogether regardless of length

  Physical Requirements:

  · Must be able to lift 70 pounds

  · Must be able to stand lift, bend, push, pull and sit for extended periods of time

  · Must be willing to work in warehouse environment

  Additional Requirements:

  · Job Type: Part-time

  · Must be flexible to work various shifts including weekends or irregular shifts
