Job Summary:
The Project Manager I reports to Senior Project Manager and/or Director of Project Management. The PMI will use their industry and professional experience to assist in a particular Program, Classification, or Group of Projects. They will ensure that their team is developing and maintaining delighted customers by providing an unparalleled level of customer service and quality products and services to enhance their brand. This role may also be responsible for acting as the primary contact, monitoring project progress, creating and maintaining customer reports, and tracking milestones and internal metrics to ensure all deliverables.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Communicate and provide solutions to customer(s) to provide value added service with excellence.
- Read and understand construction drawings.
- Read and understand submittal packages.
- Perform as the primary executor of projects for customer(s).
- Develop cost estimates and selling values of assigned projects; solicit and obtain bids from subcontractors and material suppliers.
- Issue, monitor, and process purchase orders to subcontractors.
- Monitor project progress and update status reports and forecasts to reflect changes.
- Coordinate with Estimating, Engineering, Production and Logistics to execute projects.
- Learn customers brand and implementation standards. Incorporate those standards into execution.
- Actively participate in internal team(s) that focuses on continuous improvement of the business.
Job Specifications:
· Education: Minimum 4-year degree (or equivalent experience).
· Experience: Minimum 3-years in the electrical project management. Thorough knowledge of estimating techniques, and cost control systems required. Lighting experience preferred.
· Computer Skills: Proficient in MS Office Suite, with Excel or Access experience, Bluebeam, ProCore or applicable construction software.
