What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Business Developer position at Agile Business Concepts, LLC?
This position will lead business development and proposal management functions, including but not limited to proposal strategy development, compiling information from multiple internal and external sources to formulate proposal solutions, compiling past performance information and drafting proposals and other contract-related documents. The position will maintain our contract summary database and provide content features for our website and other marketing outlets. The position will also assist in assessing business opportunities based on Agile’s past performance. The ideal candidate has a track record of successful business capture, thrives in a small team environment, has a natural science or policy background and has experience with Federal government contracting.
DUTIES·
1. Lead in customizing proposal development to reflect the criteria and requirements in the RFP/RFP/RFI, business strategies and messaging related to the specific opportunities to include background research and writing.
2. Translate technical information and business jargon into clear, consistent, and grammatically correct content.
3. Present bid or no bid decision.
4. Maintain a pipeline of RFP’s in progress and submitted.
5. Meet with teaming partners, sub contractors, agencies and present capability statement.
6. Source RFP’s/RFI’s and being proactive in responding them.
7. Read and analyze RFP requirements develop proposal response, compliance matrix and requirement traceability matrix.
8. Analyze the RFP requirements and proposal response to ensure compliance and responsiveness to the customer's issues and needs throughout the proposal development effort.
9. Coordinating proposal process, following standard procedures, including planning, review, and production.
10. Work with the SME’s to develop, draft, and finalize the response and compelling narratives.
11. Work with teaming partners, subcontractors, finalize the RFP response.
12. Review, organize, and edit written documentation to improve clarity.
13. Combine input from various sources to create an aesthetically pleasing document with a single voice
14. Work on multiple proposals simultaneously, balancing milestones and due dates.
15. Generate and update capability statements and content features for website and marketing outlets.
16. Research and gather information to include in proposals, including resumes and project summaries.
17. Engaging senior technical and management staff to obtain necessary information and commitment for specific pursuits.
18. Providing final quality control check, including proofreading for grammar, request for proposal (RFP) compliance and conformance to established strategies and plans.
19. Assisting in the day to day hard and electronic file organization.
20. Ad hoc duties as assigned.
Qualification:
1. Minimum 5 years of experience in a proposal development environment, including technical proposal writing, price proposal preparation, editing, proofreading and productions support.
2. Strong reading, writing capabilities in English.
3. Highly proficient in writing proposals and responses to RFPs, RFQs, RFIs and Sources Sought.
4. Must have working knowledge of the government procurement process including RFIs, RFPs
5. Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and commitments.
6. Ability to work well under tight deadlines and effectively interact with a wide range of personnel, from executive to administrative staff.
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to verbally convey technical concepts in clear, concise and understandable terms is also required.
8. Expertise in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Salary : $100,000 - $140,000
