About the Role:
The Guard Shack Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety, security and organization of shipments coming and going from our facility. This position involves monitoring access points, verifying the identity of drivers entering and exiting the premises and communicating with the rest of the customer service team. This role requires effective communication with team members and management to ensure that all protocols are followed. Ultimately, the Guard Shack Associate contributes to the overall operational efficiency and safety of the facility.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in an administrative role is preferred.
- Ability to use a computer (email, scheduling systems, WMS)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control access to the facility by checking identification and maintaining driver log.
- Checking in drivers and ensuring they are here for their scheduled drop off/pick up.
- Communicating driver schedule with customer service team.
- Provide excellent customer service to drivers while maintaining a professional demeanor.
Skills:
The required skills for this position include strong observational abilities and attention to detail, which are essential for monitoring access points.. Effective communication skills are necessary for interacting with employees and visitors. Problem-solving skills will be utilized when responding to incidents, allowing the Guard Shack Associate to assess situations and take appropriate action.
Monday to Friday, potential weekend work.
