What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1099 Physiatrist position at Agile Occupational Medicine?
Position Summary:
As a 1099 physiatrist, you will be responsible for the diagnosing and providing direct specialist services to patients for pain management and physical rehabilitation from work related injuries. You will work in a team environment with physical therapists, chiro, acupuncture among other clinical staff under the referral of the occupational medicine physician. You’ll also collaborate with employers in active case management.

Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of physical disabilities and conditions, including musculoskeletal issues, chronic pain, and neurological disorders from work-related injuries; assess patients’ medical history, physical exams, and x-rays
- Develop individualized treatment plans that may include physical therapy, therapeutic exercises, medications, injections, and non-surgical interventions to improve function and mobility
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists and medical doctors, to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients on their conditions and its prevention and the rehabilitation process
- Complete timely and accurate documentation in EMR
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited medical program with a M.D. or D.O. and an unrestricted medical license in the state where employed.
- Board certified or eligible in the state where employed and in accordance with state laws of practice .
- Licensure requirements of the state of jurisdiction.
- DEA required.
- BLS and AED Certified; ACLS Certified, preferred.
- Current Medical Malpractice Insurance coverage.
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software.
- Excellent work ethic and dedication to patient success.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Background in occupational medicine, physical medicine and rehabilitation, or outpatient setting is preferred.
