Position Summary

The Market Manager at Agility will play a pivotal role in driving growth and success for our insurance agents by providing hands-on support, training, and business development strategies. In this role, you will forge and strengthen relationships with community-based organizations, healthcare providers, and hospital systems to create new opportunities for our agents. Additionally, you will implement and guide grassroots marketing efforts aimed at expanding market reach, generating leads, and enhancing brand visibility.

Requirements

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Agent Support And Development

  • Training & Onboarding: Conduct regular training sessions-both virtual and in-person to ensure agents stay updated on product knowledge, compliance requirements, and effective sales techniques.
  • Business Growth Strategies: Collaborate with agents to set goals, develop marketing plans, and track progress through metrics and performance assessments.
  • Problem-Solving & Mentorship: Serve as a resource for agents, addressing challenges related to client acquisition, plan presentation, and overall sales effectiveness.

Relationship Building With Community Partners

  • Community-Based Organizations(CBOs): Identify and build relationships with local nonprofits, senior centers, faith-based organizations, and other community groups to create new outreach opportunities.
  • Healthcare Providers & Hospital Systems: Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with providers, hospital administrators, and clinical staff to create referral channels and host joint educational events.
  • Local Business Alliances: Represent Agility in local chambers of commerce, small business associations, and other professional networks to foster collaboration and community presence.

Grassroots Marketing & Lead Generation

  • Event Coordination: Organize and participate in health fairs, community festivals, and other local events to showcase available insurance options and promote awareness of Agility's agent services.
  • Educational Seminars: Collaborate with agents to host workshops on Medicare, individual and family plans, or other relevant insurance topics in libraries, community centers, and partnering organizations.
  • Referral Programs: Develop and oversee referral incentive strategies that encourage word-of-mouth marketing and build sustainable lead pipelines for agents.
  • Digital & Social Outreach: Guide agents on establishing a strong local online presence through social media, local business directories, and community forums.

Marketing Analysis & Reporting

  • Competitive Intelligence: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to advise agents and adapt strategic plans as needed.
  • Audit Support: Collaborate with compliance teams and regulatory agencies as needed to provide documentation or process improvements.
  • Reporting & KPI Tracking: Maintain and present regular reports on agent performance, market development event ROI, and partnership outcomes to leadership.
  • Budget Management: Work within approved budgets to maximize marketing impact, ensuring effective use of resources for agent and community outreach.

Compliance & Regulatory Adherence

  • Policy Updates: Stay abreast of applicable federal and state insurance regulations, ensuring agents remain compliant in all sales and marketing efforts.
  • Audit Support: Collaborate with compliance teams and regulatory agencies as needed to provide documentation or process improvements.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education & Experience:

3 years of experience in insurance sales, marketing, or related FMO/distribution channel roles.

Proven track record of successfully managing and growing a local or regional market, preferably within the insurance or healthcare sector.

Technical & Interpersonal Skills

  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of Medicare, Individual & Family Plans, ACA, and other insurance products.
  • Relationship Building: Exceptional communication and networking skills with experience in establishing strategic partnerships.
  • Training & Mentorship: Ability to teach complex concepts in a clear, accessible manner and motivate agents to hit targets.
  • Analytical Thinking: Proficient in evaluating market data, identifying trends, and creating actionable strategies.
  • Project Management: Organized and detail-oriented, with the capacity to handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Technology Proficiency: Comfortable using CRM systems, MS Office Suite (or similar), and virtual meeting platforms.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Life and Health Insurance license required
  • AHIP certification OR FFM Certification - Both (preferred)
  • Ability to navigate fast-paced, changing environments.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with different leadership levels.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to develop executive-level content or presentations

Additional Requirements

  • Willingness and ability to travel locally/regionally for community events, agent meetings, and partnership building activities.
  • Valid driver's license, insurance, and transportation.
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends for special events and agent training sessions.
