We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Clinical Reviewer Nurse to join our team. This role involves reviewing and summarizing medical records, contributing to the development of case summaries, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and high-quality results. The ideal candidate will have a clinical nursing background, exceptional organizational skills, and a passion for learning new technologies.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assessments, treatments, and medication administration.
- Manage medical records in accordance with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and improve health outcomes.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team.
- Document all patient interactions accurately using electronic health record systems such as Athenahealth.
- Ensure compliance with Medicare guidelines and coding practices, including ICD-9 standards.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the overall enhancement of clinical practices.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license or higher.
- Minimum 2-3 years of clinical nursing experience (preferably in oncology or pulmonology, though not required).
- Strong technical aptitude, comfortable with software and technology (e.g., EPIC or similar platforms).
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to handle diverse case types and workflows.
