Embedded Software Engineer
Location: Hybrid in the Austin, TX metro with 4 Days per Week Onsite
Type: Full-Time, Direct
Compensation: $115K - $125K
Our client in the alternative energy space is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to join their team. In this role you'll have the opportunity to take ownership in writing embedded code for their cutting-edge industrialization platform.
Here's what you'll be doing:
- Designing, building, and implementing advanced software algorithms for mission-critical, cutting edge product
- Collaborating with other software and hardware engineers
- Adhering to and championing safety requirements and software development best practices
Here's what our ideal candidate has:
- 5 years of embedded software engineering experience
- Experience building software utilizing C
- Experience working within a Linux OS
- Hands-on experience with control systems
- Experience with protocols (CAN, Modbus, etc.)
- Ability to script for automation using Python and/or Bash
- Hands-on hardware and functional safety experience would be a plus
