This is a remote position with travel to client site through out the United States.
Job Purpose :
The Senior Applications & Projects Engineer is responsible for leading technical interactions with customer engineering teams. This involves designing and developing technical solutions for applying generators in stationary and mobile power generation. The engineer will also determine associated costs, prepare submissions, and ensure performance. This role necessitates close collaboration with Engineering, Sales, channel partners, and suppliers. The objective is to deliver the most cost-effective and reliable technical solutions that fulfill customer requirements while guiding the evolution of future product needs. Strong experience and expertise in Distributed Energy Resources are essential, along with experience in applying generating resources utilizing natural gas, hydrogen, or waste gas (landfill, field gas)
Key Responsibilities :
- Pre-Sales Engineering : Translate customer requirements into effective technical solutions for generator applications.
- Develop and compile technical proposals, including cost analysis, construction estimates, and vendor scopes of work, in response to RFPs / RFQs.
- Support complex proposals for large-scale turnkey projects.
- Customer Support : Provide technical expertise and training to customers on generator design and integration.
- Develop and deliver QA / QC and commissioning documentation.
- Assist with on-site commissioning and troubleshooting.
- Serve as the primary technical contact for customers, resolving complex installation issues and facilitating their requests.
- Product Development : Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to develop a robust product portfolio that meets market demands.
- Contribute to the development and standardization of pricing models and quotation tools.
- Market Development : Represent the company at industry events and conferences to promote generator solutions.
- Build strong relationships with key customer technical teams.
- Ensure Compliance : Ensure that generators are applied and installed correctly according to design requirements and applicable codes and standards.
