Overview
We are seeking a skilled Injection Mold Operator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plastics injection molding and be proficient in operating various machinery and tools. This role is crucial in ensuring the production of high-quality plastic components while adhering to safety and efficiency standards.
Duties
- Operate and monitor injection molding machines to produce plastic parts according to specifications.
- Set up molds, adjust machine settings, and troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments, such as calipers, to inspect parts for quality assurance.
- Handle materials safely and efficiently, including loading and unloading raw materials into machines.
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and maintain a clean work environment.
- Document production data and report any discrepancies or defects in the manufacturing process.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in plastics injection molding is required; familiarity with blow molding is a plus.
- Proficient in using hand tools, CNC machines, lathe, press brake machines, and other manufacturing equipment.
- Strong understanding of materials handling processes within a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience operating forklifts is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment is essential.
