Job Title : SQL / Python Developer

Duration : 10 months with a 12-36 month extension

Pay : $52 / HR on W2

Location : Remote

Must be willing to work on our W2. We can't support H1B at this time.

Industry Experience Required :

Financial Institution experience is required

Marketing campaign experience is a plus

Job Responsibilities :

Write and develop reports, analyze large volumes of data, derive KPIs, measure campaign performance, and build executive reports and dashboards.

Troubleshoot issues related to digital marketing campaign performance reports and develop various reports using multiple data sets.

Participate in requirements gathering, logical and physical data modeling, developing fact and dimension tables, configuring ETL workflows, and developing Cubes and reports for analysis.

Develop complex SQL queries and optimize databases, tuning long-running SQL queries using SQL Server Profiler and SQL Tuning Advisor.

Troubleshoot and correct production ETL issues.

Optimize stored procedures, T-SQL, views, and functions for optimal performance.

Refine and automate regular SQL processes, track issues, and document changes.

Develop and automate SSIS packages to perform Extraction, Transformation, and Loading (ETL) of data from various sources like Flat files, MS Excel, CSV, and MS Access to SQL Server.

Develop complex database objects like stored procedures and user-defined functions (UDFs).

Create database objects such as tables, views, indexes, and triggers in MS SQL Server to support relational and dimensional database models.

Develop scripts for data manipulation while ensuring data integrity.

Design, develop, and maintain a data warehouse.

Create tabular reports using SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).

Generate parameterized reports, drill-down, and drill-through reports.

Deploy reports, create report schedules and subscriptions, and manage and secure reports using SSRS.

Technology Stack & Environment :

SQL Server 2012, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), MS BI Suite (SSIS / SSRS), SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT), Excel VBA / Macros, MS Office Suite 2010 (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Tableau 10, JIRA, WebEx, Agile / Scrum.

Additional Project Details :

This role involves continuing the work on the Teradata SQL platform migration while ensuring the continuity of bank marketing campaigns in the old environment. Simultaneously, data migration to the new platform will be conducted, and campaigns will be run from the new system. The bank lacks in-house expertise for this migration, making this role critical.

Preferred Qualifications :

Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with clients.

Familiarity with demographic, interest, and transactional data from industry aggregators.

Experience with digital and email online platforms.

Education Requirements :

MS in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline preferred.

BS in the same fields or equivalent work experience is acceptable.

Exciting Work You Will Do :

Create and / or modify stored procedures to support recurring programs and write ad-hoc script code to support one-off business processes.

Maintain and enhance core common campaign processes and logic.

Develop solutions to update and improve current campaign and process implementations.

Perform rigorous quality control on campaign logic and processes.

Collaborate with business partners to understand requirements, design solutions, and implement ongoing marketing and service campaigns through multiple channels (direct mail, email, inbound / outbound calls).

Required Experience :

7 years of experience with programming in Microsoft SQL using Management Studio.

SQL and Python programming experience.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience developing and facilitating in-person and remote presentations.

Self-starter with the ability to work independently or within a team.

BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or Information Systems.

Desired Experience / Skills :

Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).

Experience with Siebel Customer Relationship Management, SFMC / ExactTarget, or Portrait Interaction Optimizer.

Experience with Tableau.

Knowledge of SAS & scripting languages.

Experience with MS Visio.

Previous work in Retirement Plan Benefits and / or the broader financial services industry.
