Title: Application Engineer
Location: Woburn, MA
(Onsite)
· Assist internal and external customers size and select the best standard product for their application.
· Help develop and publish new content for new standard products.
· Acting as a technical resource to customers, distributors and the field sales force, answer questions and address and resolve any problems.
· Assisting sales staff qualify opportunities, generate quotes and proposals, and manage prototype process for standard products.
· Working with marketing on the website and literature to improve technical content and overall technical experience.
· Support sales and marketing with trade show materials and sample products. Attend trade shows in key markets, such as cooling systems for data centers.
Design Engineering:
· Specify components for mechanical pumping systems and heat exchangers.
· Review and qualify new parts to expand the list of approved components for use in cooling systems.
· Design the layout of mechanical pumping and cooling systems.
· Develop mechanical design packages, including sheet metal with CAD support.
· Execute engineering changes to existing products.
· Develop and execute verification test plans.
· Write test procedures and engineering reports.
Qualifications
· Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering or a related field.
· Experience with mechanical pumping systems or HVAC / refrigeration a plus.
· Experience:
· 3 years of experience in a technical engineering field.
· 3 years of direct customer experience.
