Location/Remote: Hybrid remote in Englewood, CO 80112 (i.e., 4 days onsite/week)
Employment Type: 9-month W-2 contract (eligible to extend for multiple years)
Compensation: up to $79/hour W-2

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Virtualization Engineer to manage and maintain our VMware-based data center virtualization environment. This role involves hands-on administration of VMware vSphere, vCenter, and ESXi, along with troubleshooting and implementing best practices for performance, availability, and security. The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the VMware vSphere infrastructure, including vCenter Server, ESXi hosts, and virtual machines.
- Install, configure, and upgrade VMware vSphere components.
- Monitor the performance and health of the virtualized environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve virtualization-related issues.
- Implement and maintain virtual machine backups and disaster recovery solutions.
- Ensure the security and compliance of the virtualized environment.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Contribute to the design and planning of the virtualization infrastructure.
- Maintain detailed documentation of the virtualized environment.
- Automate virtualization tasks using scripting languages (PowerCLI, Python, etc.).
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in VMware vSphere administration (vCenter, ESXi, vMotion, DRS, HA).
- Strong understanding of virtualization concepts and technologies.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be located in the Denver area and able to work a hybrid schedule.
Preferred Qualifications (Huge Pluses):
- Experience with Cisco UCS server platform and UCS Manager.
- Experience with scripting languages (PowerCLI, Python).
- Experience with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform).
- Relevant certifications (VMware VCP, etc.).
