We have a full-time need for a skilled, energetic, and driven Database Architect.
Description: The Database Architect will produce robust, scalable, performant, and cost-effective database architecture(s) for a Government agency. The successful candidate will have at least six years of experience in database design, data modeling, and database optimization. He or she will also have experience with design and implementation of relational and NoSQL database architectures.
Database Architect Job Duties:
- Produce robust, scalable, performant, cost-effective database architecture(s)
- Produce database design diagrams and other reference artifacts
- Collaborate with senior staff to produce system architecture and design
- Collaborate with senior staff to develop epics, features, and user stories
- Collaborate with senior staff to produce system documentation
- Provide software engineering staff with database-related guidance
- Maintain database schemas and designs in version control
- Collaborate with software engineers to provision databases through automated processes
- Collaborate with senior and junior technical staff
Security Clearance Requirements: Secret Clearance (S) required, must be active upon applying. Must be a U.S. citizen.
Experience Requirements: Minimum six years of experience in database design, data modeling, and database optimization
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field preferred; bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
Desired Skills / Qualifications: Oracle, NoSQL, Elasticsearch, Solr, Lucene, MongoDB, DynamoDB, Elastic, Cassandra, CouchDB
Location: Remote, local to Clarksburg, WV preferred
Status: Full time
Schedule: Day shift, Monday–Friday
Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long durations of time. Also, must be able to continuously operate a computer and other office productivity machinery.
