The role of Agilent’s Business Intelligence Team is to work closely with the Agilent Commercial Marketing Team, across all markets and regions, to provide market and customer insights to characterize new markets, develop new products, support the development and execution of marketing strategy, and use internal and external data sources to inform business decisions.
We are looking for a Business Intelligence Communication Intern to help identify, summarize, and publicly share insights from various data sources aligned with our company’s strategic areas of focus. This role is ideal for someone interested in combining business intelligence with communication, as you will help transform complex data into clear, engaging, and easily accessible content for internal and external audiences.
Key Responsibilities :
Research & Information Gathering : Identify relevant, publicly available data from various sources such as news outlets, industry reports, government publications, and social media related to our strategic areas of focus.
Content Summarization : Summarize and synthesize key insights from gathered information, ensuring clarity and relevance for various stakeholders.
Content Creation & Posting : Develop concise, engaging, and informative posts based on research findings, to be shared publicly on company websites, blogs, social media channels, or internal platforms.
Strategic Focus Alignment : Ensure all content is aligned with the company’s current strategic initiatives and priorities.
Trend Identification : Track emerging trends and news related to our industry and strategic focus areas, summarizing key findings for further distribution.
Collaboration : Work closely with business intelligence, communications, and marketing teams to ensure research outputs meet both business objectives and communication standards.
Content Management : Assist in organizing and maintaining a repository of shared content, ensuring easy access and consistency across all communication platforms.
Ad Hoc Communication Tasks : Provide support for other communication or research tasks as needed, assisting with content creation or analysis requests from other teams.
Qualifications
Actively pursuing a bachelor's or graduate degree in related field of science in a recognized academic institution in the USA.
Strong interest in research, data analysis, and communication.
Ability to summarize complex information into clear, concise, and engaging content.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel); familiarity with social media platforms and content management tools.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Creative thinking and a proactive approach to content development.
Ability to work between 15-20 hours per week while pursuing a degree.
Knowledge of industry trends and current events in the Life Sciences Industry is a plus.
Previous market research experience through courses, projects, or internships is a plus.
Familiarity with data visualization tools (, Power BI, Tableau) or infographic design is a plus.
Location : Ability to work anywhere remotely in the US. Located within driving distance of our Santa Clara site would be a plus.

The intern pay rate for this position is $24 - $36 / hour plus eligibility for paid holidays and medical benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This job has a part time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely.
