Job Title: Engineer - Automation/Instrumentation

Location: Lower Gwynedd Township, PA 19002

Pay Rate: $38-42/HR

Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Engineer - Automation/Instrumentation to join our team in Lower Gwynedd Township, PA. In this role, you will focus on the operation and optimization of automated laboratory equipment in support of clinical vaccine programs. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in liquid class and method development on Biomek systems, as well as experience with automation scheduling software and assay execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and optimize automated laboratory systems, specifically in the context of clinical vaccine programs.
• Transition assays from the bench to automated platforms by following established protocols and developing new methods.
• Contribute to the validation, implementation, and continuous improvement of novel automated workflows.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team to ensure smooth operations and successful project outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work and contribute to compliance with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

• Required:
• B.S. in Engineering or a related Scientific field.
• 2 years of real-world experience working in an automated laboratory environment.
• Expertise in liquid class and method development on Biomek systems.
• Basic understanding of JavaScript and Visual Basic.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and oral).

Highly Preferred:

• Experience with DART and reporting systems.

Preferred:

• Experience in automated assay execution.
• Familiarity with automation scheduling software (e.g., Thermo Momentum, Biosero Green Button Go, High Res Cellario).
• Experience using electronic laboratory notebooks.
• Previous experience in a GxP environment.

Comments/Special Instructions:

• Biomek system experience, specifically in method development and assay migration, is the top priority for this role.
