POSITION OVERVIEW FOR DIRECTOR OF RENEWABLES
Agilitech has an excellent career opportunity for a Director of Renewables. The Director of Renewables (DOR) reports directly to the company’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) serving as a trusted advisor and strategic operational and technical manager. The Director of Renewables leads strategic planning and development efforts for the direction, infrastructure, and control of all service development and project execution. Oversees all renewable project sales, development, and construction activities. The Director of Renewables also provides both technical and organizational leadership and is responsible for the formulation and execution of long-term objectives in alignment with defined business goals. The Director of Renewables works closely with other Directors, business leaders, and project teams to ensure a consistent, safe, and quality client experience and works to monitor and maintain client relationships to increase repeat business, referrals, and business opportunities. The DOR is also responsible for developing the long-term strategy for the business unit that is aligned with the vision set by the CEO/COO.

Requirements
FOR THE DIRECTOR OF RENEWABLES
Organizational Leadership & Strategic Planning
- Measures the performance of the group to ensure high levels of quality assurance and quality control, efficiency, cost-consciousness, and client satisfaction.
- Analyses and approves/declines incoming project opportunities for consistency with Agilitech’s strategic vision, capabilities, and resource availability.
- Utilizes detailed analysis and high-level reporting and metrics to evaluate productivity, quality,y and consistency of operations and business strategy regularly to drive continuous improvement.
- Actively monitors and manages all operations standards of performance on a system, services, team, and individual level.
- Accountable to provide ongoing guidance to the Renewables team regarding project definition, scope, philosophy, activities, milestones, and staffing requirements.
- Coaches team leaders on project execution and project performance processes to promote a culture of high performance, continuous growth, and development.
- Promotes the development of operational and/or technical innovations consistent with Company vision and competitive advantage for maintenance and improvement of operational processes.
Technical Leadership
- Provide technical direction on small to large-scale projects to staff at all levels, as required.
- Performs functional work on small to large-scale projects when resource scarcity demands.
- Conducts regular management meetings to review all production.
- Responsible for facilitating and ensuring cross-functional communication and consistency between disciplines.
- Facilitates the resolution of complex employee relations issues, working with all parties to mitigate conflict. In consultation with the HR Manager, prescribes, documents, and tracks appropriate and consistent disciplinary actions, corrective measures, or conflict resolution strategies to maximize team success and minimize legal risk.
- Reviews operational SOPs, best practices, and QA/QC procedures to ensure internal processes are consistent cross-functionally and are maintained and executed with integrity to produce safe and quality work.
Talent Management
- Consults on and approves all compensation decisions, requests for personnel, and talent development functions to ensure the business can develop and retain talent through effective resourcing, training & development, performance management, and reward strategies.
- Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of all functions.
- Assists management in evaluating the performance of team members, and providing guidance regarding coaching, counseling, and development.
- Ensures employees have the right skills, tools, and talents to perform their roles, and that the group has the right talent in the right roles.
- Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build and maintain morale, and increase productivity and retention.
Technical Competencies
- Renewable Energy Expertise: Deep understanding of renewable energy technologies like solar, hydrogen, battery, and their applications, and market trends.
- Project Development: Knowledge of the project development lifecycle for renewables, including feasibility studies, permitting, financing, and construction.
- Financial Analysis: Ability to analyze project financials, calculate returns on investment (ROIs), and develop compelling financial proposals.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant regulations and incentives driving the renewable energy market.

- Sales & Negotiation: Proven track record in achieving sales goals, negotiating contracts, and closing deals.
- Client Relationship Management: Ability to build strong relationships with clients, understand their needs, and provide customized solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR DIRECTOR OF RENEWABLES
- Bachelor’s degree: Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field.
- Proven experience: 5 years in business development and marketing, preferably within the renewable energy industry.
- Market expertise: Strong understanding of the renewable energy sector and its key players.
- Proposal proficiency: Demonstrated experience leading and crafting multi-disciplinary proposals for renewable energy projects. Technical skills: Mastery of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Adobe.
- Professional involvement: Active member of relevant energy professional organizations is a plus.
- Communication mastery: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including strong editing abilities.
- Organizational prowess: Meticulous attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities.
- Team player: Ability to thrive independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.
- Travel flexibility: Willingness to travel for networking events, trade shows, and Agilitech office visits.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
