POSITION OVERVIEW FOR THE HSE MANAGER
Agilitech has an excellent career opportunity for a Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Manager. The HSE Manager is responsible for developing and implementing organizational safety programs; reviewing and updating institutional HSE policies and conducting risk assessments to detect potential hazards and plan precautionary measures. The HSE Manager evaluates the workplace environment and develops safety management policies that identify and define the safety responsibilities of all employees. The HSE Manager is responsible for supervising all staff within the Safety workgroup and for providing mentorship and career guidance.

Requirements
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THE HSE MANAGER
- Supports Agilitech’s management in the HSE Policy and Guidelines issue
- Supports Agilitech’s management in the Organization roles and responsibilities definition, for what concerns safety aspects
- Ensures, in accordance with the Agilitech guidelines, the implementation, updating, review, and auditing of company HSE Systems
- Monitors the effective implementation of appropriate Health, Safety, and Environmental System procedures and provides for their updating in line with changes in Legislation and Company Directives
- Provides for motivation and familiarization of all Agilitech personnel respecting the importance of complying with Agilitech HSE program procedures and all safety equipment provided
- Assists the Construction, Engineering, Operational Logistics, and Administration departments in their dealings with Clients in all issues concerned with Health and Safety at work
- Conducts safety audits both internal and external
- Leads accident/incident investigations and root cause analyses as it relate to HSE
- Carries out analysis of accident/incident statistics, identifying trends and suggesting improvement plans
- Manages and analyzes HSE leading and lagging indicators to identify trends and provide corrective action plans
- Provides technical support to Agilitech management on any safety-related subjects
- Carries out any in-house safety training
- Performs HSE reviews of sub-contractors
- Liaises between Clients on safety-related issues
- Participates in meetings before procurement and installation activities
- Performs risk assessments using various risk assessment tools
- Prepares Health and Safety documentation
- Provides safety support and advice, including supervision on the preparation of plans and procedures for initial contract start-up activities
- Leads contraband control measures by coordinating drug and alcohol screenings
- Supervises all staff members with the Safety workgroup while providing mentorship and career guidance
- Identifies staffing needs and works with recruiting to procure adequate staff according to Agilitech’s Core Values
- Performs other related duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE HSE MANAGER
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma (or equivalent) or greater level of education
- 5 years of HSE experience
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related field
- Board of Certified Safety Professionals Certification
- National Fire Protection Agency CESCP Certification
- Electrical safety background
Supervisory Responsibility (if applicable):
- This position is responsible for the direct supervision of all staff within the Safety workgroup.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
