What are the responsibilities and job description for the PCB Quality Inspector position at Agility Mfg Inc.?
Minimum Requirements: 3 years of electronics inspection. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Pay rate depends on prior electronics experience.
Job Summary:
- Perform incoming, in-process and final inspections on electronic assemblies and mechanical hardware.
- Ensure product is manufactured to the latest applicable configuration documentation.
- Identify and segregate non-conforming product and prepare Defect Reports.
- Assist in defect tracking and evaluation process (as directed by the Q.A. Manager).
- Uses standard measuring instruments to perform in-process/final inspection and document acceptable/noncompliant conditions per the Quality Management System.
- Use of magnification devices to inspect component placement and identify defects.
- Perform a variety of manual/administrative tasks to include the use of computer systems associated with quality inspection of circuit boards.
- Interpret and use a variety of quality policies, procedures, and other documentation (e.g., engineering prints, engineering changes, inspection checklists, and process instructions).
- Proficient in units of measure for length, weight, and volume.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical manuals and drawings.
- Perform basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages.
- May perform additional duties as assigned, including working in other functional areas to cover absences or to balance the workload.
- Ensure compliance with IPC standards and customer requirements.
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to speak, read, and write the English language.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, engineering drawings, sketches, and test procedures to determine assembly and inspection methods for electrical and mechanical components.
- Ability to record accurate inspection data and write a concise report of findings.
- Good interpersonal skills; pays attention to detail; and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to use mechanical and electrical measuring instruments (dial calipers, micrometers, multi-meters, etc.)
- Basic understanding of electro-mechanical assemblies.
- Ability to adapt to various job assignments with minimal direction/supervision.
- Familiarity with IPC, ASTM, and Military Standards a plus.
