We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Agilist to join our dynamic team focused on Enterprise Modernization, Consumer, and Commercial projects. The Lead Agilist will play a critical role in fostering Agile practices across multiple teams, ensuring the successful application of Scrum values, principles, and frameworks. This role requires strong facilitation skills, a deep understanding of team dynamics, and the ability to coach, mentor, and guide teams in delivering continuous business value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as a servant leader to guide Agile Squads, promoting a culture of self-organization, continuous improvement, and high performance.
- Ensure teams understand and apply Agile and Scrum principles, helping them achieve optimal productivity.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies such as Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Retrospectives, and Backlog Refinement, ensuring the team gains value from these events.
- Coach the Product Owner and Development Team in effective Product Backlog management to ensure clear, actionable, and prioritized tasks.
- Identify and help resolve impediments affecting team progress, removing obstacles that hinder productivity and progress.
- Encourage collaborative problem-solving within the team, ensuring that solutions are driven by the team’s collective insight.
- Provide objective guidance to the organization, fostering trust and open communication across all levels.
- Promote the use of empirical data and feedback loops for continuous learning and improvement within the team.
- Work cross-functionally with other teams and stakeholders to ensure smooth collaboration and alignment of goals and priorities.
- Coach others in the organization regarding Agile practices and impacts that actions have on the team and its self-organization.
- Foster a safe and inclusive environment where team members feel empowered to voice concerns, share ideas, and grow their skills.
Key Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of full-time business experience, with at least 3 years in Scrum roles (Scrum Master or similar).
- Deep understanding of the Scrum framework, Agile principles, and continuous improvement practices.
- Experience coaching, mentoring, and facilitating teams in Agile environments.
- Strong problem-solving and creative thinking skills with the ability to drive team decision-making and performance.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, including presenting, teaching, and facilitating.
- Experience in conflict resolution and the ability to mediate interpersonal or organizational challenges.
- Knowledge of various Agile frameworks and practices (Kanban, XP, Test-Driven Development, etc.).
- Familiarity with software lifecycle development disciplines and practices that support agility (e.g., Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment).
- Proven leadership skills, with a focus on building high-performing, self-organized teams.
- A learning mindset, continuously improving both personal and team practices.
- Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to present complex messages in an understandable way.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
