The Logistics Supervisor oversees freight, transportation, inventory, and distribution for the facilities, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness. They optimize shipping with carriers and 3PLs while meeting KPIs and communicating performance.
Responsibilities
- Identify and mitigate supply chain transportation risks while analyzing logistics data to detect cost trends and inefficiencies.
- Proactively monitor inventory to meet delivery dates, follow customer routing instructions via VMI portal, and communicate any carrier delays to customer service.
- Ensure COA availability for sales orders, arrange carrier shipments, and coordinate outbound shipments with carriers to meet delivery dates.
- Manage logistics budget, identify cost-saving opportunities, maintain vendor and carrier relationships, and communicate daily reports, highlighting past due sales orders.
- Achieve monthly KPI goals for pre-paid shipments, resolve claims, and track all outbound shipment invoicing in a spreadsheet.
