Warehouse/Receiving Operator

We are seeking to add a self-motivated and energetic Warehouse/Receiving Operator to join our team.

Job Summary:

In short, our warehouse/receiving operator will unload finished product and raw materials. Stock and maintain warehouse inventory. Issue materials from inventory to Production. Receive and inspect Inventory. This is a first shift position.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Unload and inspect raw materials from trucks.
• Move raw materials to warehouse storage.
• Make suggestions to improve flow and process.
• Document warehouse location of raw materials.
• Move waste from assembly line to dumpsters as needed.
• Responsible for quality control. Inspect incoming material; no damaged raw material is accepted.
• Custom fabricated items must be checked for conformance to most current drawings (PDM Vault).
• Operate within standard operating procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs).
• Operate forklifts (with certification) & trucks.
• Make all appropriate entries within Acumatica ERP System.
• Communicate with operators from production areas, supervisors and managers.
• Clean and maintain work area daily.
• At the end of shift verify that doors are locked in the warehouse area.
• Other duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Back-up for assemblers.
• Provide on-the-job training to new employees.
• Request shipping materials. Maintain supplies adhering to just in time principles.
• Back-up for Shipping Clerk.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Forklift certification and applicable state certification for truck operation.
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required or occasionally more.
• Ability to wrap, push, and strap fixtures for shipping.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves frequent lifting of materials and products up to 50 pounds or occasionally more. Machinery operation requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to eye safety glasses, hearing protection and work boots. Loose fitting clothes and jewelry are not permitted.
