This position will lead the branch personnel to establish, develop, and maintain Key Metrics for the branch location.
This role will report to the Vice President of the South Region.
Responsibilities
- Ensure strategic goals and sales targets are met by maximizing sales and gross profit through reviewing sales performance, controlling expenses, and managing inventory investment.
- Hire, train, develop, and supervise a small team of employees.
- Provide employees with feedback, coaching, and performance evaluations. Assess needs and build career paths.
- Coordinate employee staffing schedules and conduct weekly team meetings.
- Network to further develop customer relationships in surrounding service areas.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies.
- Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing rapport with existing and potential customers. Develops and maintains relationships with top accounts.
- Ensure in-person customer visits are regularly scheduled with the designated Account Manager to address customer concerns and ensure best possible outcome.
- Analyze and monitor branch inventory and stock movement.
- Plan & organize customer events, local tradeshow needs, seminars, and supplier counter days.
Qualifications
- High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelors Degree - Sales, Business Administration, Engineering, or relevant field preferred
- 5-7 years prior professional sales experience in Electrical Distribution, Industrial Automation, Industrial Supply, and Electrical Construction.
- Prior Profit and Loss – Management Experience.
- 1-3 years prior experience with managing a team.
- Working knowledge of business and management principles in strategic planning, resource allocation and coordination of people and resources.
- Demonstrated verbal, written, analytical, persuasion and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Excellent time management and computer skills.
- ERP system experience is required.
Physical Requirements
- Requires prolonged periods of driving, getting in and out of a vehicle multiple times a day, standing/walking at customer sites, as well as sitting at a desk.
- Must be able to lift up to 5-10 pounds at times.
