What are the responsibilities and job description for the Delivery Driver position at Agilix Solutions?
Agilix Solutions is seeking a customer-oriented individual for our warehouse to assure excellent customer service to our customers.
The Delivery Driver position is responsible for providing excellent customer service by delivering supplies promptly and courteously while using excellent driving habits. This position will predominantly make deliveries but will work in the warehouse as needed.
This role will report to the Branch Administrator.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a company vehicle to deliver materials to customers.
- Utilize an electronic delivery manifest system (experience preferred).
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including company vehicles and the warehouse.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Transport orders to customer locations or delivery platforms with materials handling equipment, ensuring orders are staged properly.
- Pull purchase orders from business system and pick customer orders for shipment with accuracy.
- Assist in placing incoming items in inventory.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- 40 Hour work week (Monday – Friday) with occasional overtime as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Valid Class “E” driver’s license.
- Clean driving record.
- 3-5 years of local delivery experience preferred.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Strong customer service skills with a positive and professional attitude.
Physical Requirements
- Able to get in and out of a vehicle multiple times a day.
- Must be able to drive a commercial vehicle 8 hours a day.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally.
