What are the responsibilities and job description for the Gear Specialist position at Agilix Solutions?
Agilix Solutions currently has an opening for a Switchgear Specialist at our St. Louis, MO location. This professional will work with the sales team to coordinate project-related material and produce competitive bids. This professional will need to build relationships with our Sales team, vendors and have solid product knowledge. They will be responsible for day-to-day requests for bids and customer interaction with the manufactures. In addition, the Switchgear Specialist will help coordinate other project-related material and have a working knowledge of competitor vendors.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for creating competitive and professional product quotations for bids.
- Responsible for management of project related materials. Some projects can have longevity of over a year in length.
- Main customer point of contact over duration of projects.
- Providing everyday customer service call and support responsibilities. In addition, this professional will support the Sales team by providing product expertise.
- Maintain and develop new relationships with manufacturers
- Set inventory positions and pricing strategy to maximize margin
- Collaborate with internal departments and extended sales teams at the branches to drive sales for your product segment
- Responsible for training internal inside and outside sales teams
- Collaborate with the marketing team to market your product segment
Qualifications
- Knowledge of wholesale distribution or supply chain management
- Must possess excellent organizational skills and be able to handle multiple projects and tasks
- Good computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word
- Excellent communication skills, self-directed follow-up and a desire to succeed are required
- Must be able to show a proven history of commitment to outstanding sales and customer service
- Related industry experience preferred.
- Exposure to the agency bidding process, agent/company interaction, negotiation and organizational skills.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 5-10 pounds at times.
