What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wire Specialist position at Agilix Solutions?
Agilix Solutions is seeking a Wire Specialist in the warehouse for our St. Louis, MO branch.
This position will report directly to the Warehouse Manager.
Responsibilities
- Operate wire cutting machinery, tools, and other equipment.
- Basic knowledge of wire gauge is a plus (willingness to learn is required if unfamiliar).
- Collaborate with the sales team to accurately pull wire and cut to complete customer orders or branch transfers.
- Properly store wire reels in designated locations.
- Forklift experience is preferred, along with familiarity with other material handling equipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
- Basic understanding of ERP systems and barcode scanners.
- Manage electrical materials and supplies, including picking, packing, staging, and verifying orders within the warehouse as needed.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of experience in a warehouse or stockroom environment.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team (self-starter required).
- Capability to handle multiple tasks and stay focused in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment (training provided if needed).
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of standing/being on your feet throughout the day.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally.
