What are the responsibilities and job description for the Software Engineer - Technical Services position at Agilysys?
Summary
The is responsible for all technical services provided to Agilysys customers. You will work directly with Implementation, Support, Integration, and Software Engineering to create / follow and maintain all technical processes and procedures surrounding product implementation, configuration, integration, import, and upgrade services.
You will be customer-facing and will assist customers throughout the full life cycle of software development from project conceptualization and planning to development, implementation, maintenance and support.
You will be responsible for solving the most challenging problems by collaborating with various teams across the organization.
The position requires on average 60-70% travel across the United States and Internationally. Your duties will include :
- Consult with customers regarding operational considerations and configuration of systems to support customer requirements. Make recommendations to utilize full advantages of Agilysys product line while minimizing operational loss.
- Monitor live operations by providing end user assistance for the Agilysys product line implemented at customer sites.
- Gather technical site requirements, technically review and recommend operational design as it pertains to installation preparedness.
- Create test cases and technical documentation of code developed.
- Troubleshooting Implementation issues and working with development to resolve.
- Accurate management of developed code in our source control provider (TFS).
- Working with Program Management to ensure features conform to specification.
- Working with Quality Assurance to ensure features meet standards of quality and robustness.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Project Management and Leadership to resolve all issues encountered with day-to-day activities.
