Job Summary: The IDD/ODP Community Outreach Specialist is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to expand business opportunities and enhance community outreach for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) under the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP). This role focuses on increasing the number of participants in our programs and boosting our company census by promoting home and community supports and community integration services.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development plan with targeted goals, objectives, and timelines.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities with integrated health systems, managed care organizations, and other relevant entities.
- Analyze business procedures and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Increase the number of participants in our programs and overall company census through targeted outreach and marketing efforts.
Community Outreach
- Develop and implement community outreach strategies to promote the organization's mission and services, specifically focusing on home and community based supports and community integration.
- Organize and facilitate community meetings, forums, and events to encourage participation and engagement.
- Build and maintain relationships with community leaders, stakeholders, and organizations.
- Advocate for the needs and concerns of individuals with IDD to relevant authorities and stakeholders
Partnership Building
- Establish and maintain strategic alliances with healthcare providers, payers, and community organizations.
- Collaborate with partners to ensure eligible clients are referred to appropriate programs and services.
- Generate positive community awareness and strengthen the organization's brand and reputation.
Program Evaluation
- Evaluate the effectiveness of business development and community outreach programs.
- Make necessary adjustments to strategies and initiatives based on evaluation to assure census growth of our program.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in business development, community outreach, or a related role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of IDD and ODP programs and services.
- Ability to work with diverse populations and stakeholders.
- Ability to meet quotas and manage a pipeline.
- Must possess a valid driver's license an insured vehicle for travel
