đ About the Strategic Sales Account Representative Role
AGM is seeking a dynamic and experienced Strategic Account Sales Representative to drive business growth in the defense and aerospace markets. This high-impact role is perfect for a sales leader who thrives on forging meaningful relationships, managing complex accounts, and navigating the intricacies of the DoD and prime contractor ecosystem.
As a key face of AGM in the industry, youâll work closely with major players like Raytheon, Lockheed Martin, and their supply chainsâbuilding strategic partnerships, delivering innovative solutions, and helping us expand our footprint in this vital sector.
đ Key Responsibilities
- New Business Development:Â Proactively identify, cultivate, and secure new business opportunities within aerospace and defense markets, including prime contractors, their supply chains, and direct DoD entities.
- Strategic Account Management:Â Develop and sustain long-term strategic relationships with key customers and industry stakeholders and decision-makers, ensuring AGM's products and solutions are specified or highly visible and preferred.
- Sales Pipeline Management:Â Systematically track, manage, and report sales opportunities through effective CRM utilization, ensuring transparency and predictability in the sales process.
- Negotiation & Contracting:Â Skillfully negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing to secure profitable contracts and maintain competitive positioning.
- Customer Advocacy:Â Act as the primary advocate for customers within AGM, ensuring exceptional service delivery and timely resolution of any issues. The ideal candidate coordinates closely with AGMâs engineering and inside sales teams to align customer requirements with AGMâs technical and commercial offerings effectively.
- Customer Results:Â Monitor and analyze customer account performance to identify areas of opportunity and improvement. Regularly communicate this with AGM leadership and others as appropriate.
- Market Intelligence:Â Regularly monitor industry trends, competitive activities, and market shifts to identify growth opportunities, improve account strategies, and report insights to AGM leadership.
- Industry Participation:Â Represent AGM at relevant industry associations such as NIPHLE and actively participate in targeted industry trade shows and networking events.
- Follows all ISO (International Organization for Standardization) procedures.
đ§ What You Bring to the Table - Required Experience & SkillsÂ
- Extensive Industry Experience:Â 7 years in strategic sales within the aerospace or defense sectors, with strong relationships and a track record of results.
- Technical Acumen:Â Comfort with technical concepts and an ability to translate complex solutions into customer-focused value. Ability to quickly understand technical details and collaborate effectively with AGM engineering and customer technical representatives to tailor solutions.
- Excellent Communication:Â A persuasive storyteller who can connect, present, and negotiate at all levels. Exceptional skills in building trust, clearly understanding customer requirements, delivering persuasive presentations, and conducting high-level negotiations.
- Strategic Thinker:Â Experience in building and executing detailed account plans and long-term sales strategies.
- Self-Starter:Â Highly motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability, who proactively seeks opportunities, excels at developing new business, and requires minimal supervision to achieve results consistently.
- CRM Proficiency:Â Experienced with CRM platforms like Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar.
đ Education Requirement & Other Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree required
- 7 years related experience
- Fluency in English
- Skilled in mathematics and analytics relevant to pricing, contracts, and revenue projections
- Valid Arizona Driverâs License (or eligible as per our insurance requirements)
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, and nicotine screening
- U.S. Citizenship / U.S. Person status required (as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3))
