The Role:
We are seeking a Contract and Logistics Specialist to support and streamline the acquisition, processing, and shipping of metal-bearing materials. In this role, you will manage contracts, oversee compliance, facilitate material flow, and ensure smooth logistics operations. You will gain in-depth knowledge of industry regulations and work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Contract Management
- Serve as a liaison between material suppliers and internal departments.
- Draft, review, issue, track, and archive contracts, amendments, NDAs, POs, SDSs, and other key documents.
- Collaborate with Regulatory, Purchasing, and Marketing teams to mitigate risks and generate customer reports.
- Provide administrative support to the Commercial team as needed.
Material Flow & Compliance
- Assist with the material approval process, working with Technical, EHS, Shipping/Receiving teams.
- Analyze internal and external lab reports and interpret material descriptions from customers.
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations, including INCOTERMS, DOT, RCRA, and EPA requirements.
Data Management & Reporting
- Use the in-house ERP system to manage supplier information and maintain accurate records.
- Track customer details and fulfill various data requests.
Logistics & Operations
- Arrange and schedule the receipt of byproduct materials onto the property.
- Organize and oversee the shipment of finished products to our customers.
- Coordinate with transportation providers (e.g., freight forwarders, couriers, and carriers) to negotiate rates, manage schedules, and monitor performance.
- Prepare and review shipping documents, such as bills of lading, invoices, customs declarations, and packing lists.
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to ensure accurate inventory levels and efficient storage solutions.
- Align logistics operations with sales, production, and procurement objectives.
Your Background and Attributes:
- A professional presentation, business poise and maturity.
- Excellent verbal and written skills, alongside strong computer and internet skills.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
- Associate degree (minimum 2 years) and 1-2 years of relevant experience required.
