General Summary: Works as a frontline fundraiser in Agnes Scott College annual giving team and partner with a substantial group of dedicated volunteers to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward alumnae to drive engagement and expand broad-based donor support in strategic ways to provide a sustainable source of revenue in support of Agnes Scott's mission. Provides planning and support for the daily operations of the annual fund program within the guidelines of federal, state, and local laws and college and departmental policies and procedures. Reports to the director of annual giving and works with co-workers, alumnae, parents, friends of the college, vendors, students and other college personnel to assist in the management, coordination and success of the annual fund program with special emphasis and responsibility for the fund chair giving program and employee giving solicitation strategies.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provides support to the director and all annual fund staff for the daily operation of the annual fund.
- Oversee the management of The Fund for Agnes Scott work-study students, including advertising the position, hiring, training, scheduling, appreciation, and performance evaluation to maximize efficiency and advance The Fund for Agnes Scott's mission and goals.
- Assists with the development of an integrated communications and fundraising plan aligned with the objectives of Agnes Scott and achievement of The Fund for Agnes Scott fundraising goals, with a special emphasis on alumnae class fundraising.
- Participates in the execution of The Fund for Agnes Scott multi-channel and digital campaigns as directed, including creating graphics, content, messaging and on-campus activities.
- Creates and achieves fund chair class annual giving and participation goals for The Fund for Agnes Scott. Responsible for ensuring that ask amounts and class goals are in alignment.
- Manages Fund Chair volunteers to promote the annual fund overall giving strategy and facilitate peer-to-peer solicitation. Provide training and materials including the fund chair handbook, sample solicitation messages, information about the college and class officer presentations. Manage the Volunteer Network Fundraising module on Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge CRM. Create a sense of belonging and collaboration between fund chairs and the Office of Development, including expressions of recognition and gratitude.
- Monitors the fund chair classes' giving strategies and identify opportunities/needs to adjust strategies in order to reach annual fundraising goals. Implement new and modified strategies as needed to increase giving and participation, motivate and inspire volunteers and optimize success.
- With support from the assistant director, responsible for the development and implementation of fund chair direct mail appeals, including editing, production, assembly and mailing, and e-solicitations, including messaging, media, graphics, and tracking.
- Provides class solicitation lists, monthly reports, stewardship through donor acknowledgment postcards, donor lists, and any other data or reporting needed by fund chairs to fulfill their duties and goals.
- Leads reunion fundraising. Provide enhanced support and materials for reunion fund chairs, present at Reunion Boot Camp, and strategize with relationship managers to identify reunion giving prospects, create reunion challenges and achieve reunion giving goals.
- Coordinates reunion giving efforts with the alumnae relations office before and during Alumnae Weekend. Prepare the trophies and giving awards script for Alumnae Weekend.
- Develops, implements and evaluates faculty and staff fundraising strategies to enhance engagement and philanthropy. Recruit volunteers and provide support for broad-based solicitation and personal outreach efforts as appropriate.
REQUIREMENTS
Education: BA/BS in related occupational field of study.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years work experience with other employers, preferably in fundraising environment.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent collaborative and organizational skills and proven record of high level of attention to detail and ability to prioritize effectively, meet firm deadlines, work independently, provide excellent internal and external customer service and proven success in problem solving.
- Ability to communicate effectively; able to effectively convey the organization's mission, priorities, and programs to diverse audiences in a variety of formats (letters, outreach materials, email, text-to-give, online media, video conferencing).
- Thorough knowledge of annual giving programs including direct mail, crowdfunding, individual giving, and personal solicitation programs.
- Proven success in effectively manage, train, coach and motivate student work-study employees and alumnae volunteers.
- Above average knowledge of MS Office Suite and Google Suite. Experience with Blackbaud's Raiser's Edge fundraising software or other donor CRM experience. Experience with text-to-give platforms, crowdfunding software, and graphic design (Canva or other) is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and to maintain confidentiality. Ability to work long hours, evenings, and weekends as needed. Must possess a valid Georgia driver's license.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Intermittent sitting, standing, stooping, crouching, walking and occasional moving of light objects. Work is performed in an office or at off-campus social/business settings.
