Job Overview:
The Safety Coordinator administers worker’s compensation and safety, working with outside vendors and internal employees and management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Coordinate and monitor all aspects of the worker’s compensation program.
2. Work with medical providers to ensure proper care and facilitate employees’ return to work.
3. Maintain injury records by division.
4. Update off work and restricted duty logs.
5. Work with division managers to accommodate employees on restricted duty.
6. Receive and record all accident reports.
7. Maintain OSHA 300 log by division for annual posting and other reporting.
8. Initiate and maintain contact with worker’s compensation carrier on all accidents.
9. Coordinate all aspects of safety and OSHA training programs for certain facilities.
10. Observe plant operations and make recommendations for additional safety training programs.
11. Conduct safety audits in accordance with SMS, OSHA and DNR regulations.
12. Monitor the effectiveness of training programs.
13. Coordinate / monitor First Responder program.
14. Work with safety committees to achieve pre-determined goals and objectives.

Requirements:
Education and/or Experience
- Minimum, high school diploma plus two years of higher education or equivalent work experience.
- Knowledge of OSHA and ANSI requirements.
- Knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment preferred.
- Minimum of two years’ practical experience in safety position, preferably in an industrial setting.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
30-hour OSHA Construction training/certification or the ability to complete within the first 30 days.
Salary : $50 - $100
