HOW YOULL MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THIS ROLE (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
Oversight of Facility Operations Maintenance, Food Services, Housekeeping, and Horticulture
- Provide leadership, oversight, and development of the management teams.
- Maintain responsibility for operational and staffing budgets. Develop short and long-term capital budget plans accounting for capital improvements, facility master plans, and organizational growth.
- Oversee development and implementation of policies/procedures/protocols ensuring all regulatory standards are met.
- Provide property management for all Agrace locations including procurement and set-up of new locations in collaboration with program leaders.
- Collaborate with Agrace leadership to achieve patient outcomes and program objectives.
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships and contracts related to defined areas.
- Establish and maintain a preventative maintenance program for equipment and systems.
- Ensure overall facility maintenance, including ongoing repair and proactive maintenance to address issues that may impact the structure, infrastructure, and finishes of facilities.
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships and contracts related to defined areas.
- Develop energy management program and monitor energy consumption, including leadership of carbon footprint goals Take responsibility for review of proposed equipment acquisitions in relation to energy use management.
- Ensure oversight and management of exterior features, gardens, and grounds.
- Manage event planning functions, artwork inventory and aesthetic requirements of the facilities.
- Ensure 24/7 on-call coverage for the facility.
Strategic Planning and Project Management
- Lead project development related to facilities operations.
- Maintain Facility Master Plans.
- Maintain knowledge of current technological advancements related to facility operations.
- Lead the facility component of expansion efforts.
- Lead the development team for remodeling projects.
- Effectively collaborate with leaders from all parts of the organization.
- Lead emergency operations planning efforts to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with regulations which impact the environment.
- Ensure management education of facility operations and related topics.
- Identify and evaluate risks to the organizations assets and operations.
- Lead facility aspects of all regulatory surveys and corrective action plans.
Manage Staff
- Hire, train, engage and retain department staff.
- Assign, direct, and verify the work of direct reports.
- Assess staff performance and provide feedback, coaching, correction, and development opportunities.
Other Duties
- Participate in internal work groups, meetings, and committees relative to position responsibilities.
- Ensure compliance with Agrace policies and protocols, state, federal, and other regulations.
- Develop and adhere to annual department operating budget.
- Provide emergency response when required.
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide on-call back-up when not serving as primary for on-call.

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
- Certification by the International Facility Management Association as a Facility Management Professional and/or Certified Facility Manager
- 5 years of related experience in facility operations management
- 5 years of supervisory experience with increasing responsibility
- Bachelors degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education
- Experience as a facility manager in a healthcare setting, preferred
- Certification from other regulatory and/or professional agencies (i.e., OSHA, NIOSH, EPA, CDC, AIA), preferred
- Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with others
- Experience using industry specific software
- Experience with Emergency Management Planning
- Experience researching and interpreting healthcare recommendations, codes, and regulations including state requirements, NFPA, OSHA, and CDC
- Ability to communicate financial/business/technical/clinical information to all levels of the organization
- Experience developing policy and procedure
- Experience in project management, strategic planning and execution, budgeting, and controlling costs
- Ability to engage staff in Agraces strategic and annual operating plans and LEAN projects and to ensure strategies and improvements remain in practice
- Ability to maintain confidentiality about patients, families, caregivers, staff, donors, and organizational intellectual property.
- Valid drivers license, auto insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle
- Ability to use proper body mechanics and standard precautions
- Ability to be flexible in time and task to meet organizational needs
