HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THIS ROLE (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
- Daily Operations Management
- Ensure appropriate staffing levels and allocation of services based on client needs. Collaborate with HR on recruitment tactics and techniques.
- Optimize staff schedules to ensure consistency in client/caregiver matches and minimize unfilled shifts.
- Ensure Age at Home staff provide quality and consistent home care services in a cost-effective and efficient manner in line with best practice and Agrace standards.
- At the direction of AD, assist in monitoring Age at Home financial performance and participate in budget and cost analysis.
- Management of Staff and Employee Engagement
- Manage all caregiving staff.
- Participate in recruitment process and make hiring decision for new team members.
- Facilitate Age at Home-specific components of new hire orientation in collaboration with Services Manager.
- Assess staff performance and provide feedback, coaching and/or correction.
- Complete annual performance evaluations for caregivers in line with Agrace best practices.
- Coach caregivers to work within established job description guidelines and maintain boundaries.
- Assess educational needs of team and facilitate their development and knowledge into practice in collaboration with AAH Services Manager.
- In collaboration with AAH Services Manager, develop and implement engagement plans to ensure high levels of team engagement.
- Review and approve accurate caregiver weekly payroll in collaboration with Agrace’s finance team.
- Monitor caregiver retention, identify new strategies for meeting/improving retention goals, and identify practices that contribute to higher retention rates among caregivers.
- Other Duties
- Participate in on call rotation to ensure coverage of shifts by AAH caregivers.
- Assist with scheduling caregivers and client shifts.
- Participate in work group and meetings relative to position responsibilities.
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or a combination of comparable education and experience
- 2-3 years leadership experience required
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle
- Experience developing, executing, and maintaining project plans and administrative policies and procedures.
- Ability to collect, review, summarize, and analyze complex data.
- Ability to communicate financial/business/technical/operational information to all levels within and outside the organization, including group presentation skills
- Experience in project management and controlling costs; experience with strategic planning and budgeting preferred.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills.
- Experience using software specific to the non-medical homecare.
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with others.
- Ability to be flexible in time and task to meet organizational needs with a high level of accountability.
- Ability to independently problem solve and recognize when situations should be escalated to supervisor.
- Ability to use proper body mechanics and standard precautions.
- Ability to maintain professional boundaries.
- Must have a desire to help others.
