HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN THIS ROLE (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
The RN Compliance Auditor is responsible for the auditing functions identified in the Agrace Clinical Auditing and Monitoring Plan. Additionally, the position will collaborate with other members of the Compliance Team to ensure that Agrace maintains auditing compliance with Plan of Corrections through various auditing bodies and provide mentoring and education to clinicians with specific documentation question and concerns.

- Compliance Audit Requirements
- Conduct utilization review of all Agrace clinical services.
- Ensure auditing/monitoring activities are occurring as identified in the Auditing and Monitoring Plan.
- Report risks to supervisor for evaluation and correction.
- Assist with the development of monitoring tools.
- Report audit findings/trends to members of the Compliance Team.
- Compliance Improvement Projects
- Participate in process improvement projects related to development and enhancement of documentation templates in electronic health record.
- Provide end user support for documentation questions and feedback.
- Provide mentoring to clinical staff to ensure assessment data is included in documentation.
- Policy, Procedure, Protocol Review
- Ensure regulatory compliance through standard documentation audit protocols.
- Initiate policy, procedure and protocol updates related to audit findings and regulatory changes.
- Documentation Response
- Review and provide appropriate documentation requested by regulatory bodies, attorneys or insurance companies as delegated.
- Assist leadership with response for documentation during audits.
- Other Duties
- Participate in internal work groups, meetings and committees relative to position responsibilities.
YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)
- Associate’s degree of Nursing required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Current unrestricted Wisconsin State RN license
- 2 years’ minimum experience in a hospital setting
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle
- Knowledge of healthcare quality improvement and/or compliance auditing practices.
- Knowledge of hospice regulation and operations.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, coding, and payment methodologies, billing, health documentation and quality monitoring processes.
- Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Ability to work effectively and cooperatively with others
- Experience using industry specific software
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Ability to be flexible in time and task to meet organizational needs
- Ability to maintain confidentiality about patients, families, caregivers, staff, donors, and organizational intellectual property.
- Ability to work at various Agrace locations.
- Ability to use proper body mechanics and standard precautions
