Our Lysander facility is currently seeking a Material Planner to support our supply chain and production line

Planner Primary Accountabilities:
· Promote SAFETY First Culture while adhering to quality principles that support the position
· Use sales forecast and MRP to determine appropriate raw material orders
· Generate and issue purchase orders to maintain appropriate levels of raw materials
· Track material deliveries and work with suppliers to resolve delivery issues in conjunction with expedite as needed to support manufacturing operations.
· Coordinate physical inventories and daily cycle counts
· Perform material transactions to maintain inventory accuracy
· Review actual and forecast customer demand to assure the schedule is aligned to meet customer delivery requirements on raw materials
· Monitor sales orders and schedule attainment on a daily basis to adjust the schedule as needed
· Communicate schedule and schedule changes
· Work with Sales, Quality, Production, Materials, and Maintenance to resolve issues that may impact the production schedule
· Generate and distribute inventory
· Utilize ERP/MRP system to improve planning and scheduling process efficiency
· Analyze areas for cost savings and inventory reduction and ways to implement areas of best practices
Planner Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent GED
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a related area in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment while balancing multiple priorities and maintaining a positive attitude
- Strong analytical skills
- Scheduling experience is highly preferred
- SAP operating experience preferred
