Position Description ::
- Seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Facility Security Officer (FSO)/Security Consultant to coordinate and manage the end-to-end process of obtaining and maintaining Facility Clearances (FCL) to support federal projects. This role is critical for ensuring compliance with government regulations and fostering strong relationships with government security organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
FCL Application Process:
- Submit sponsorship requests and prepare FCL application packages.
- Ensure the completeness and accuracy of documentation required for the FCL process.
Key Management Personnel (KMP) Eligibility:
- Oversee and guide KMP through the eligibility and clearance process.
- Ensure compliance with security requirements for personnel involved in the FCL.
Security Program Development:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive security program aligned with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) standards.
- Establish policies and procedures for facility and personnel security compliance.
Government Communication and Liaison:
- Serve as the primary point of contact with DCSA and other government security agencies.
- Address inquiries and provide updates on FCL status and compliance.
Personnel Security Clearance Management:
- Manage personnel security clearance (PCL) processes, including submissions, renewals, and incident reporting.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with security requirements.
Facility Inspection Readiness:
- Prepare the facility for DCSA inspections and audits.
- Ensure adherence to physical security requirements and address any identified gaps.
FCL Maintenance:
- Monitor and maintain ongoing compliance with FCL requirements.
- Update security plans and procedures as needed to reflect changes in regulations or operations.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an FSO or in a similar security management role.
- In-depth knowledge of DCSA policies and guidelines related to FCL and PCL.
- Strong understanding of security protocols, policies, and facility clearance processes.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for liaison with government agencies.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., FSO Certification, Security Clearance) are highly preferred.
