Title : Solutions Architect
Location: Seattle, WA (Hybrid)
EXPECTATIONS
The contractor shall possess the following skills, experience, and certifications to effectively contribute to the development, testing, and maintenance of client reports, while also providing data expertise and support and managing PowerBI tickets.
Work Expertise and Skills:
Data Architecture:
- Five years of experience working on enterprise data repositories on cloud platforms, preferably Azure.
- Experience in building architecture and reporting using APIs.
Business Intelligence:
- Three years of hands-on experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related role using Power BI.
Agile Methodology:
- Two years of experience in developing and deploying products using agile methodology.
Data Modeling:
- Advanced skills in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling across various schemas and formats (e.g., entity/relational, NoSQL, dimensional, data vaults, etc.).
Prototyping:
- Hands-on experience in prototyping solutions and developing minimum viable products (MVPs).
Data Platforms:
- Extensive experience in developing and deploying major data platform implementations, including requirements gathering and creating documentation standards
Data Preparation:
- Experience with data prep and blending capabilities (e.g., Power BI, DAX).
Power BI Proficiency:
- Proficient in developing reports using Power BI, including Power Automate, Power Query, and data modeling.
Additional Knowledge:
- Knowledge of Databricks, Informatica, Python, and PowerShell is a plus.
Experience and Certifications:
Data Security:
- Strong understanding of industry standards for data security, privacy, and risk management.
Certifications:
- Relevant certifications in data architecture, business intelligence, or related fields are preferred.
Soft Skills:
Relationship Building:
- Ability to develop strong working relationships with business and technical teams for new data warehouses and reporting platforms.
Customer Relations:
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, gaining their trust and respect.
Communication:
- Effective communication across all organizational levels, from individual contributors to leadership, and from technical to business-oriented teams.
