Critical Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must have a strong ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as individually, possess strong verbal and written communication skills, exhibit excellent organizational and record-keeping skills, and demonstrate the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. You should also have a strong attention to detail, the ability to lead/train/supervise seasonal and full-time employees, and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and common PC-based software. Furthermore, you must be able to lift up to 65 pounds, work required hours and shifts, have a valid driver's license, and meet MVR Requirements. Finally, you should be able to work indoors and outdoors in hot, cold, wet, and dry conditions, walk seed fields, up to 5 miles/day.
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree in Agriculture or a related field preferred
- Agriculture field experience preferred or a minimum of 3 years of seed production experience
