POSITION SUMMARY:
This is a temporary/seasonal opportunity. Assist production research in the day-to-day operations with IMOP trials.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Count, package, and ship inbred seed for IMOP trials.
• Work in plant & warehouse or field operations.
• Collect information and analyze corn inbred lines.
• Seed inventory.
• Collect stand counts, flowering data, and plant measurement.
• Ability to read and follow all QMS documents.
• Follow all safety & housekeeping procedures.
• Accurately complete all required paperwork and documentation in a timely manner.
• Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• No previous experience required.
• Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer.
• Eligible minors under 18 must have an employment certificate.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
• Punctual & reliable – report to work on time and regular attendance.
• Ability to work as a part of a team.
• Ability to follow directions and safety rules carefully.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to work outdoors 60% of the time.
• Ability to walk fields.
• Must have valid driver’s license and meet MVR Requirements.
