Summary:
AgReserves, Inc. is seeking a Land Transaction Manager to join our investment team. This role will be highly focused on strategic real estate investments in agricultural property. A successful candidate will apply in-depth knowledge of agricultural real estate markets and transactions to source, evaluate, negotiate, complete due diligence and close agricultural investment opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Research, analyze, identify, negotiate, and source potential agricultural acquisitions.
- Function as the farmland acquisition and real estate expert which includes becoming an expert in operational, financial, and other relevant resources.
- Advise and make presentations to leadership on market trends, land values, and long-term investment opportunities.
- Coordinate with the legal and records teams in document preparation, contract execution, and recording of each transaction.
- Conduct due diligence and communicate investment status (including an informed view of risks and value) to executives, field team, and external partners throughout due diligence.
- Assist with the analysis of potential dispositions.
- Participate with portfolio and individual asset valuations.
- Maintain records in accordance with existing systems and processes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with industry leaders, real estate contacts, appraisers, and other Ag investment companies.
- Represent the company in a professional and respectful manner in internal and external interactions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Agri-business, Business Management, or related subject required. Real estate or appraisal license plus.
- 8 years of relative experience in real estate investments with 3 years in agricultural real estate investments.
- Knowledge of potential environmental hazards and remediation processes.
- Strong demonstrated communications, interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, and analytical skills.
- Advanced organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks.
- Solid leadership skills with good judgement and integrity.
- Competent computer skills including MS Office tools and ability to learn new systems, software and programs.
- Ability to travel, up to 25%, to and from properties including properties in remote areas with limited services.
