Summary:
Treasure Valley Farms is seeking a collaborative and proactive Maintenance Technician Lead to oversee a crew that ensures the processing facility's equipment can run at operational standards consistently and safely.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely startup of production lines while enforcing safety rules and policies.

- Diagnose and repair manufacturing equipment while also performing preventive maintenance tasks such as cleaning, inspecting, tightening, lubricating, and performance checks on all production equipment, machinery, and tools.

- Maintain records on preventive maintenance programs including logs for compressors, plumbing, and refrigeration units.
•
- Partner with management on daily assignments and making critical production decisions specific to equipment reliability and product risk issues.
•
- Delegate assignments to maintenance staff, prioritize critical issues, and track progress to confirm quality standards are met.
•
- Maintain accurate parts inventory and notify management to order as needed for preventive maintenance.
•
- Communicate daily with management for assignments and provide a professional opinion in making critical production decisions specific to equipment reliability and product risk issues.
•
- Champion a world-class safety culture through on-going trainings, enforcing LOTO policies, positive promotions, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies and local policies.
Qualifications:
- 4 years in mechanical maintenance or related experience with proven food processing knowledge in food grade lubricants, kosher environments, food safety and sanitation standards.
- High diploma or equivalent with solid math and computer competences. Advanced degree or college coursework preferred.
- Valid in-state driver's license. Must be able to obtain and maintain forklift and aerial lift operator certification tests.
- Basic motor, gearbox, pump, bearing and belt replacement skills with fabrication, design, and electrical troubleshooting experience.
- Advanced welding and torch skills.
- Expert knowledge of OSHA regulations, lock-out/tag-out, electrical safety, confined space entry, PPE, fall-prevention, and other standard safety programs.
- Strong demonstrated leadership, multitasking, interpersonal, and communication skills. Bilingual Spanish is a plus
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the role including manual dexterity and be able to work outside in year-round weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
- Ability to work long hours, nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts, per business needs.
