Summary:
River Point Farms is seeking a highly capable
Quality Assurance Technician
to be based at our onion processing plant.
Responsibilities:
Coordinate, review, control, and generate error free documentation with minimum supervision.
Ensure that all product and supporting documentation comply with company and customer specifications.
Coordinate and review incoming supplies for correct specifications and presence of any transit damage.
Generate records for documenting compliance.
Document the quality of produce received and as finished product according to customer specifications.
Maintain and audit company's HACCP plans to ensure procedures from production are in compliance with company and customer specifications and USDA requirements to reduce risks and potential hazards to the health of consumers.
Inspect raw produce for received quality according to company standards.
Prepare and maintain quality records, generate proper tagging, and document inspection reports.
Initiate corrective action with appropriate supervision.
Streamline procedures and processes required to comply with specifications.
Train personnel for back up.
Follow and champion best-in-class Food Safety processes; report any and all loss of food safety control.
Qualifications:
High school diploma of GED equivalent.
1-3 years working in a processing or packing plant/agriculture environment.
Prior HACCP experience.
Basic math skills such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Computer competency with data entry and word processing.
Strong demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills.
Bilingual English/Spanish highly preferred.
